We are very happy to be able to get back to work and see our patients who we have missed over the past few months! We would like to update you on our offices re-opening and the steps we are taking to ensure we do everything possible to keep our patients and our team healthy.
At TenBrook Orthodontics (TBO), the safety of our patients is our number one priority. This is why we have instituted the following safety procedures at all TBO locations throughout South Jersey: 1. All TBO staff has been screened for 14 days prior to re-entry into our practice facilities, and will monitor daily from now on. 2. All TBO patients will be pre-screened before entering any TBO facility; including a health and safety questionnaire and on spot temperature recording and physical health evaluation by our trained healthcare staff.
3. All TBO staff will use its normal and extremely rigorous infection control and sterilization and disinfection procedures for all instruments, equipment, chairs, and all surfaces.
4. All TBO staff will use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for any and all procedures.
5. We will be limiting the number of people into our office facilities, once we are allowed to see patients, for your safety. 6. TBO will require social distancing of at least 6 feet between people inside our office facilities. Dependents maybe required to wear masks if they are asked to enter the office; otherwise they will need to stay in their vehicles outside of our facilities.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED UNDERSTANDING! YOUR UTMOST SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE CONCERN, AS WE CRAFT YOUR PERFECT SMILE!
We are planning to reopen slowly over the next few weeks. We are going to take a phased approach towards our reopening to minimize the number of patients in the office. This will allow us to adhere to federal social distancing guidelines, and to better protect our patients and staff.
Please note! Our office procedures have temporarily changed and will include the following:
Appointments
Please wait for our office to call you to reschedule your appointment.
If you or your child has a true orthodontic emergency, please TEXT our emergency line 856-502-2228. Emergency will continue to be defined by pain or bleeding. Broken brackets and ill-fitting aligners are not an emergency.
Prior to your appointment, please complete health check and inform our staff if you have any flu like symptoms or not feeling well. We request our staff, patients and their families who are ill to stay home.
Visits
When you arrive for your appointment, please stay in your car. Please call our office upon arrival. Once the treatment room is ready, we will contact you so that the patient can now come into the office. A Patient Wellness Coordinator will meet the patient at the front door or near the car to do “Well check” . Your temperature will be taken by staff using a non-contact thermometer. If your temp is over 100 degrees F, you will be asked to leave and not return for 14-day self-quarantine requirement. To avoid any need to reschedule, please take your own temperature prior to traveling to the office.
For our patients’ and staff protection, we are unable to treat patients who arrive and present with a fever, cough or other flu-like symptoms. These patients should contact their health care provider and must reschedule their appointment.
To help us maximize sanitation efforts, Only the patient that is being treated will be allowed to enter the office. The only exception for this will be for very young patients. Please minimize the number of people in our office by only bringing 1 parent with the patient, and refrain from bringing siblings and other family members with you.
Please bring your own mask and wear it to your appointment. Federal guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks in businesses continue, so bring the mask you have been using. If you do not have your own, we will provide one.
We will ask all patients entering the office to use hand sanitizer when they arrive.
Maintain the 6-foot social distancing guidelines when in the office until seated in the treatment chair.
The tooth-brushing station and the patient’s restroom will be closed, so please prepare for that before arrival. Please brush your teeth before coming to the office.
After appointment is over, the patient wellness coordinator will text the person waiting in the car that the appointment has been completed, along with an update. If you or the doctor have any questions or concerns, the doctor will either ask the patient to call you on speakerphone while in the chair, or the doctor can call you during a break.
To schedule your next appointment, we will ask you to call the front desk or our Toll-Free number ( 877-SMILE10) after the appointment is over.
Clinics
We are wiping down common surfaces regularly with virucidal wipes.
We follow all OSHA and CDC guidelines for the proper use of PPE during this pandemic. We may look a little different with our masks, face-shields, and gowns, but we are still the same caring team you have come to know and love!
At TenBrook Orthodontics, we have always followed OSHA and CDC guidelines regarding Universal Precautions. Our sterilizers are monitored continuously, and any instrument that will be used for your appointment has been sterilized to the highest standards.
Team members
We will take the temperatures of every team member, including the doctors, immediately upon arrival at work. Any team member at 100 F or above will go home.
Every team member will monitor for symptoms and answer the health questionnaire that our patients are required to answer, and will do so every day. If any questions disqualify the team member, they will be sent home following the same procedures we are asking our patients to follow.
We are taking your safety VERY seriously. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us direct. We are available via text, phone or email and WebChat on our website.
